Bianca Wylie on Interrupting Urban Innovation Lies: Undoing the Political Economy of Pretending

On 1-December, Bianca Wylie shared her work on “Interrupting urban innovation lies: Undoing the political economy of pretending” as part of the 2021 Fall Urbanism Lecture Series, co-hosted by the City Design & Development Program (CDD), SMArchS Urbanism Program, and Norman B. Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism at MIT.

Bianca is a writer and an open government and public technology advocate with a dual background in technology and public engagement. She is the co-founder of Digital Public, the co-founder of Tech Reset Canada, and a senior fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation. She founded the Open Data Institute Toronto in 2014 and co-founded Civic Tech Toronto in 2015. Bianca is an advisory board member of The Computational Democracy Project and UWA’s Minderoo Tech & Policy Lab.
